About Me
Born and raised in Ukraine, I found my passion for fashion at a young age. I knew that there were two things that I loved most: clothing and helping people. This led me to complete my degree which specialized in Women’s Textiles and Apparel. In the following years, I worked as a tailor making customized women’s clothing. Then, life got a little hectic… My family and I immigrated twice within six years. Once we settled down in St. Louis, I completed another degree and worked as a registered nurse for ten years while raising my three children. While I loved the life that I had built, I knew that there was something missing: artistry in my everyday life. With the support of my husband and children, I opened Lara’s Tailor Shop to embrace my own passion while helping other people feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful in their clothing.
